Or more to the point, can I buy some hoses and valves to add a relativly cheap, temporary remote to my L4330 using my backhoe connections? I'd only use it a few days a year, and really just need momentary forward/reverse (1 cylinder acting).

Any suggestions on sources/sizes/connectors? They look remarkably like skidsteer connections. Are these just a supply and return (connections on the tractor) to the tractors secondary/aux hydraulics?

Thanks!
J

You are right that they look just like Skid Steer hydraulic ends. You will need to order a valve and find a mounting spot that won't interfer with the other attachments. I don't have one on the lot set-up to be able to tell you as to the perfect system. I do like the factory valve system and the price is right. ....

My dealer is a pain in the neck... He really just doesn't want to take the time to help me with this. He keeps telling me to use the FEL, and put the post hole auger on my backhoe.... The point is A) I can get small bobcat skidsteer attachments loaned to me for free B) I don't want to switch between backhoe/driving seats between each hole (I've got a lot of straight line fencing to do)...

Based on my inspection today, I'm going to build my own as a takeoff from my BH90 hoses. If I'm interpereting things right, I need an open center valve to permit the flow back to the system when I'm not actuating a remote.

Does anyone know what the specific type of quick connects are on the Kubota BH90, and what are standard on most skidsteers?

The valve in the link below is 1GPM smaller than my pump, so I should probably look a bit larger, but it has outputs for a dual action cylinder and a hydraulic motor.

Can a DA cyinder valve be used to run a trencher or auger? Seems like it would work, just no spin down, but these spin pretty slowly anyway.

Also, if I'm going to put valves on, I ought to put at least 2 DA cyinders with for top/tilt, eh? ....

Just a thought but isn't 8 gallons capacity on the low side? The larger valve will more then likely have 1/2" lines. ....

That's what I was thinking - but I think I need open center, correct? I'll look for the factory kit first, before I start rolling my own. My dealer keeps say, use the FEL, otherwise I can get you _1_ remote for $800.

Would I get into trouble oversizing the valve, as long as it is within reason, say, 15 or 20 gpm, and not 100? Otherwise I'll look for 10/12. The BH90 connections have 3/4 on them.

Thanks art!

John ....
